We sold our house, our cars and most of our possessions! The little amount that we are taking with us had to fit in a 20' container that we purchased. Having never bought a container before, the entire experience made us both excited and nervous. We did not know how much we would be able to fit in the container, how long it would take to arrive, if the semi could fit into our driveway to pick it up or that it actually needed a semi with a crane on it. Thankfully, my husband and I are both sleeping slightly better knowing that the container is on its way. We still have to figure out how things work when we meet the container in Panama. We recently found out that the container cannot be taken to our coffee farm while it is still loaded. The truck that would be needed to unload the container is just too big. So the plan now is that we have to take everything out of the container at the bottom of our hill and shuttle it up to our house. After the container is empty, they can use a smaller truck to bring the actual container up the hill. There goes my plans for unpacking a little each day!
