As some of you know, I went back to the U.S. for a month. I was lucky enough to spend one more Christmas with my grandmother. She passed away shortly after the holiday at the age of 98. I will miss her greatly. I spent a lot of time visiting family and friends, making cookies and even helped make a gingerbread house. While visiting my brother and his wife, I was reminded that Oregon has its own wildlife. :) These two critters were hanging out in their front yard, no fear! After a long trip back home, it was time to get back to work. We have been busy installing a UV water filter, two days of tracking down issues with the water lines, mowing the lawn, painting, processing coffee, shipping coffee, end of the year taxes, refilling the house with real food.....Now that I am writing it all down, I think we had a really productive week. When you leave your husband alone for a month to feed himself, this is what you come home to. A freezer full of Super Wedges. I am pretty sure all of his dinners consisted of the Super Wedges and carbs. :) I am happy to be home with the beautiful blooms on the coffee trees, the afternoon rainbows, the warm weather and the night skies with tons of stars and what we think might be the space station (see picture below.)
